February maintenance window open

The February maintenance window will begin at 09:00 CET on February 5.

• The procedure for SSH login to Bianca will change. The username is just the username. The password is just the password. You will be prompted for second factor authentication and if you are a member of several projects also for project name.

  We sincerely hope that this will make it easier for new users. This is how it will look like:

$ ssh username@bianca.uppmax.uu.se

Provide your normal UPPMAX password. You will supply the TOTP code separately, in the next step.

• Bianca login might be temporarily unavailable during the day. If you have an ongoing session, you might need to log in again.

• Login nodes will be restarted.

• All systems will receive important bug fixes and security updates.

• Other than this, no changes are planned. But as always, there is an increased probability of minor glitches or outages.
