September maintenance planned for September 6th closed
- The UPPMAX cloud will be stopped.
- No Slurm queues will be stopped.
- All systems will receive system updates and security fixes.
The EAST-1 and UPPMAX cloud region will be unavailable on September 6-7 as we aim to perform a major upgrade of the cloud control plane. The upgrade will transition the cloud to a more stable and recent version of OpenStack, and will assist us in deploying the new cloud storage system.
Any disturbances on the accessible systems while the service window remains open should be assumed as related to the service window. Please hold contacting the support until the service is announced completed. You can follow our progress on this page throughout the day.

Update 2023-09-07 12:00
The cloud upgrade is progressing without issues, however, the process (despite being almost fully automated) is slow as many things needs to be checked before each cloud component (e.g. networking, compute, API services etc.) can be upgraded. We thank you for your patience.

Maintenance continues on the UPPMAX cloud.
Update 2023-09-06 17:00
All systems except UPPMAX Cloud / EAST-1 have returned to production (upgrade still running). We are however troubleshooting the ThinLinc access to the Rackham cluster. This is caused by a ThinLinc upgrade. We expect to have this fixed this evening for the ThinLinc desktop client, for the ThinLinc webaccess we might need to continue to investigate what is wrong tomrrow.
