UPPMAX inaccessible from parts of the Internet closed

This morning, we have lost the ability to access some external sites. This affects for example github repos, but also logging in from some Swedish and international sites. No physical outage is affecting our local datacenter and from initial troubleshooting, the error seems to occur within the infrastructure of the Swedish academic network infrastructure SUNET. We are trying to escalate this, and apologize for the inconvenience.

SUNET reported that the issue was fixed by roughly 10:00. It was casued by an hardware error on their end and affected some other Swedish institutions as well.
