January maintenance window closed

The January maintenance window will begin at 09:00 CET on January 11th.

• Queues on Rackham and Snowy WILL be stopped.
• Queues on Bianca and Miarka will not be stopped.
• The UPPMAX Cloud will not be stopped.
• All systems will receive system updates and security fixes.

We stop the Slurm queues on Rackham and Snowy as we, per the vendor suggestion, downgrade the firmware in the storage system (Crex) network host adapters. The current firmware together is known to cause hangups in the filesystem (as was likely observed at the end of last year).

Any disturbances on the accessible systems while the service window remains open should be assumed as related to the service window. Please hold contacting the support until the service is announced completed. You can follow our progress on this page throughout the day.
