Crex file capacity almost reached. Remove unneeded files from project directories! closed

Crex file (inode) capacity is currently 95% used.

Please check if you can reduce the number of files in your project directories. Note that this is about the number of files, not the size of the files. For example moving large number of small files into a single tar file helps.

Things to look for in particular are old leftover intermediary files from old jobs, or other temporary files that are no longer needed.

The work on Crex during the June maintenance window was meant to increase the inode capacity of Crex among other things. Unfortunately our vendor DDN’s plan did not work and eventually we had to revert back to the previous metadata targets, so in the short term this problem remains.
