December maintenance window closed

The November maintenance window will start at 09:00 CEST on December 1.

The SNIC Science Cloud east-1 region (east-1.cloud.snic.se) together with the UPPMAX Cloud region will be powered down on December 1 as we work on transitioning storage network from Infiniband to Ethernet. This change is long over due and will benefits with increased reliability and likely higher bandwidth performance.

Please make sure you power off your VM before 1 December if your workload requires special handling before shutdown. All remaining running VMs will be shutdown 1 December.

east-1 is now accessible again. We keep the service window open as we perform the final tests early morning. Starting old and new VMs are expected to work even at this time.

Maintenance on cloud is soon completed. We have transitioned the network from infiniband and are working through the last issues.
