January maintenance window closed
The January maintenance window will start at 09:00 CEST on January 13. The queues on Rackham and Snowy will be stopped as we have planned maintenance on the project storage system Crex. The maintenance on Crex usually takes some time, therefore it is possible that Rackham and Snowy will return to production on thursday, assuming no major issues. Queues on Bianca will be stopped as we will reboot the cloud control plane and the hosts.
The queue on Irma will not be stopped. All systems will receive the usual bug fixes and security updates.
Any disturbances on the accessible systems while the service window remains open should be assumed as related to the service window and await contacting the support. If the problems remain after the service window has been closed you are of course welcome to contact the support at support@uppmax.uu.se.

Bianca is back in production. This concludes the first maintenance for 2021.

Rackham and Snowy are back in production now. A few test remain to be done on Bianca. Next update at 15:00.

The storage system Crex got up and running in the late afternoon yesterday. We expect to be able to mount it on the clusters after some more testing. Work on Bianca continues but the OpenStack infrastructure is up after some unexpected issues yesterday. Next update at 12:00.

Crex and Bianca are still not ready. We continue working on them and we expect to be done tomorrow. Next update is coming at 9:00 tomorrow.

The maintenance of Irma is completed. Lutra is now mounted on Rackham but the work on Crex continues. Bianca is also not yet ready. Next update comes at 17:00.

The maintenance continues without issues so far. The login nodes of Rackham are online now but the storage system Crex is not yet available. It will be mounted later in the afternoon if everything goes as planned.
