February maintenance window closed
The service on February 5th will begin at 09:00 CET. To assist in solving the issue with having reached the maximum amount of available inodes we may need to stop the queues on Rackham and Snowy, depending on if we are able to work together with the vendor - which has not yet been confirmed. We will wait until thursday morning until we decide if the queues will be stopped or not. The queues on Irma and Bianca are not affected by this work and will not be stopped.
Update 2020-02-05 The queues on Rackham and Snowy will be stopped during the maintenance day and both systems will be brought offline. This is related to the issues with the storage system Crex and we need disconnect all clients during the service of Crex.
Any disturbances on the accessible systems while the service window remains open should be assumed as related to the service window and await contacting the support. If the problems remain after the service window has been closed you are of course welcome to contact the support at support@uppmax.uu.se.
You can follow our progress on this page as soon as the maintenance begins.

Update 2020-02-05 17:00
Maintenance completed. The problem with the project storage system Crex for Rackham and Snowy is unfortunately still not expected to be solved. A permanent fix is now assumed to require updated server software for the storage system backend. The software is delivered to us by the vendor. We have escalated this issue and hope to be able to return to normal operations soon. Updates regarding this issue will be found in the dedicated system news item for Crex.
