UPPMAX Cloud problems closed
On Friday afternoon we have reports on problems with the UPPMAX Cloud. The cloud likely became unresponsive shortly after. The problem is the core infrastructure services of the cloud (message queue and database). We are restarting these services now and will investigate why they failed in the first place.
A possibly related issue is that by the end of last week we lost one (of seven) storage servers in the Object Store system. The problem is hardware related with the disk enclosure or possibly the SAS-controller in the storage server. We will create a separate news item about this once we have exhausted our options of recovering it.
Final ticket report
The services have been restarted, and the cloud appears to work again. We will continue to investigate what went wrong.
